Nineteen LNG cargoes crossed the Strait of Hormuz in September, 13 from Qatar and 6 from the UAE, according to S&P Global Energy; Kpler counts 21, up from 15 in June. Both are the highest monthly totals since the war began on February 28. S&P analyst Eric Yep said transits accelerated in the second half of September and, if the pace holds, October full-month transits could recover to about 25% of pre-war levels. QatarEnergy-linked carriers Al Kharaitiyat and Al Gharrafa transited in late September and were off India's west coast by September 29–30.
